This first semester has had it up’s and down’s but i learned a lot of things. I learned not to do things at the last mintue. I learned that people come in and out your life and dont take things, or people for granted. I learned colloege is not easy and you get back what you put in. I also lost my car this semester i got in a bad accident and totaled my 07 camery. Now i have no car. I have to find rides to in from school, but hey you gotta do what you gotta do. My brotheer made back down from atl with some shocking information. He’s going to the navy and he married. Wow! i was speechless. But hey thats life i guess. This semester i sat one goal: DO EVERYTHING BETTER THEN LAST SEMESTER! i time for me to really get out of my childish layed back ways.

Aids awarenes! Iattened a quick little session about aids awarness. There was a women speaker i cant tell you her name becausse I walked in a few mintues late. But, I did learn something new I learned that Aids virus started off as a gay man’s disease. This is very harmful disease because your immune system and all you good cells. If you dont get treated it will kill anyone affected with it. The speaker was tell a story about a young girl that was infected with the virus and when she visits her mother no one touches her, if she eats she has to bring heer own plates, floks, cups. ext. The disease is transmitted through unprotected sex with a person who is already affected by the virus. So, if you hug somone you will not get the virus. There are also case where mothers that are infected with the Aids virus are passing it on to the new born child. So, everyone get test, and be safe!

I Found Someone

So its this gurl, who makes me laugh, smile, blush, think,wish, feel, and want. She is unbelievably my opposite, but we are almost exactly the same. She is danger and bliss, she is love and fortune, nothing bad has come my way since she has been here with me. I mean we only been talkin for 3 weeks seriously and I feel like there is something more to her than she will tell me. I want more than she will give me…But all the same I’ve found this person. I think she has met her match because she tells me everyday that I make her do things she wouldn’t normally do. I cant explain any further. But I’m happy and that’s all that matters right….Nuhuhn..WRONG. It’s like she in one world and im in mine. Although I want to be more exclusive with her I cant because she is afraid of coming out. I’m me I cant b anyone else never tried to b but it’s like I still have to keep my sexuality a secret because of the fact that although I may b out, parents don’t agree, friends may not agree, and I like being me too much to destroy myself. UGH!!!

So im not creative much, not easily seen, or heard for that matter. But I am who I am. Most of the time I can be seen as crazy. But Im not, i love my freinds with all my heart, and i love my enemies just the same. But I am so sick and tired of my friends becoming my enemies. I’ve had to drop so many girls from my group of friends. And what’s funny is I rarely accept girls as friends anyway, but i decided to do something different and it backfired. I feel like boys are better best friends than girls are. Girls have to much jealousy and hate in their bones for me. Then on top of that I can’t just hang around any type of girl.I hate barbies, liars, plastiques, groupies, boppers, and anything of the sort. BUT THAT”S ALL THAT’S HERE AT XAVIER. And the boys, please don’t get me started, too controlling, and i cant be a caged bird, i like life my way and my style, im comfortable with who i am and I feel like I shouldn’t have to change for no one. Im a DIAMOND IN THE ROUGHEST…the rouhest part of life. Im being shaped and realizing what i like, is actually who i am, and I have a deep unwanted desire to destroy the things I’m not. Its strtange that one incident can affect the whole way you look at life. To much success for failure, and to much failure to encourage success. I Lost a Friend and I Wasnt Even to Blame

So I had a friend who was real close to me lately, well since i been her. Me and her was like bread and butter. But then I seperated myself from the group because I was dealing with something on the inside of me that no one could help me with. I was gone away for like 2 weeks. When I came back out of my shell so much had transpired that I needed to know why everyone was so upset with each other. SO one of them told me. I choose not to use names because I feel lilke that would cause more drama…and I just aint the one for that. But anyways she told me some things that have happened and I was like wow, so many things have gone bad, and it isn’t fair that a friendship was split because of it. So then my next day of openness made me wish i never came back to the group. My friend came up to me and was going off about things i was accused of saying {which in fact was never said BY ME}. Instead of feeding fuel to the fire I ignored her and kept about my day. The funny thing is it wasn’t just me who was accused, but the other person is forgiven already and is now a friend again. How should I feel if she never really asked me if it happened, should i just say oh she wasn’t really a freind anyway or should i come to her. Either way my positon stands that what was done was wrong, but should my opinion really affect the girl i thought was my DAB. That was my road dog, my partner in crime, and as well as she knows me she feels that i have a reason to go behind her back and talk S*%T when really the person i wanted to know the information from was the one running her damn mouth. To me its a stupid game, drama is not of my character, i dont like bickering with my friends over petty bulls%*t but it still kinda hurts cuz i never thought we would ever fall out like this, but it happened. Tell me what should i do????

OK SO I REALLY DONT KNOW HOW I WANT TO GO ABOUT PUTTING THIS TOGETHER BUT I GUESS IM JUST GOING TO GO AND HOPEFULLY IT WILL FLOW TOGETHER. AFRICAN AMERICANS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO GET AN EDUCATION IN TODAY’S SOCIETY. EDUCATION IS REALLY IMPORTANT BECAUSE WITHOUT IT ITS ONLY SO MUCH YOU CAN DO. PEOPLE WHO CHOOSE NOT TO RECIEVE AN EDUCATION AND DROP OUT AT A YOUNG AGE, DONT FINISH HIGH SCHOOL, OR GO TO COLLEGE AFTERWARDS HAVE IT TOUGH. THEY TEND TO TURN TO DRUGS, SETTLE FOR MIN. WAGE JOBS, SOME BECOME HOMELESS, AND JUST BECOME VERY DOWN IN LIFE. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE BLACK AMERICA TO GET AN EDUCATION AND GO BEYOND HIGH SCHOOL FOR THE BETTER OF US. WHO EVER KNEW THERE WOULD BE A BLACK A PRESDIENT, AND TODAY INTHE YEAR 2009 WE HAVE ONE. OF COURSE HE DIDNT GET THERE CAUSE OF THE COLOR OF HIS SKIN BECAUSE HE IS THE FIRST COLORED PRES. BUT HE GOT THERE THROUGH HIS INTELLIGENCE. ANYTHING YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO YOU CAN ACHIEVE. NEVER GIVE UP OR DOUBT YOURSELF BECAUSE ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

now last week i had the honor of hearing Mr.Jericho Brown read some very beautiful pieces from his new book. If you didn’t go you missed out in poetry that took you on a vivid ride, while the soothing richness of the pieces rolled you in and filled your mind with techno color that made you feel there. It drove you home by making you feel like writing your soul for everyone else to see. One of my fav piece had to be the one about the roaches, now im not a fan of the evil plotting creatures but he painted the most extraordinary picture that i have ever heard of a roach. Again not a roach fan but he made them more alive in the sense that this is alice in wonderland and they’re the rabbit late to see the queen.

There are many things we need to address as a community but the one i think we need to get on board about are. One: the lack of we as a community have I.e. “The Crab n The Barrel” mentality.

The first one i think is a big problem especially here at Xavier because of all the negativity i have gotten from people in many positions through out the university. There are time were they will talk down to someone and even to myself at times and try to make you feel as if you are not worth of attending here or that if your family is not affluent that you are not worth there time. Those are things that have to come to a end if we want this and future generations to succeed from here on out. If we can’t give the newer generation a brighter future, then us as a people will no longer have anything to look forward to.

as a young african-american i have the potential to,and will, build up my community. i believe even though i’m not directly in the statistics, i am as strong as the weakest link and also as vulnerable. this link includes medical problems such STDs, AIDs, HIV, diabetes, high blood pressure, pregnancies, and much much more. My community is also dragged down by poverty and other hardships. so seriously, its time for those who are able to stand strong and support the weakest link. let those who are educated, teach others, old and young, to be wise and take the healthiest route available. let us stop criticizing and start motivating. But don’t stop there, other communities need support as well. thus, we target the young for proper up-bringing; respect and cherish the elderly; and motivate the able to wise-up and take serious action. in the end, this is our community, our lives; it’s time to get with the program and get real.

Relationships and Love

I am two days late with this blog but with so much going on I completely forgot about it until I picked up my Obama book. I will still put my input in on relationships. As far as they go I am not a fan of them at the moment because I have so much going on and a relationship will only add to the pressure, worries and other problems that I have with school at the moment. I’m not downing those who are in a relationship because they are all fine and dandy when the two people are in love. With myself, I would probably one day find that one who I can balance with school and with them but at this point in time I’d rather be alone and explore the options that are out there. Everybody is starting school and falling for the first person they meet, but there is so many more fish in the sea to catch. So, to finalize relationships are what they are. I’m just not apart of that category.
